National Statistical Institute will conduct Household Survey on BGLD-3.001-0001 Project “Novel Approaches to Generating Data on hard-to-reach populations at risk of violation of their rights”

Between May 19 and August 31 2020, the National Statistical Institute will conduct a household survey.

The survey is being conducted in the framework of project BGLD-3.001-0001 “Novel Approaches to Generating Data on hard-to-reach populations at risk of violation of their rights”, funded by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 (EEA FM) under the program Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Improved Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups. It is implemented in partnership with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).

The aim of the project is to develop innovative methods and approaches for collecting data and adapting relevant indicators needed to formulate and implement policies targeting representatives of vulnerable population groups.

The survey is conducted in accordance with the Law on Statistics. Its organization and financing are in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation implementing the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA) 2014 – 2021.

A sample contained 2,500 clusters and 15,000 households across the whole country.

All persons belonging to ordinary households in the sample are monitored.

All households and their members living at the sampled addresses will be visited by specially trained interviewers, NSI staff, who will conduct personal interviews and fill in:

• Household questionnaire;

• Individual questionnaire for each household member aged 15 and over (at the time of interview);

• Children’s Questionnaire – for each child in the household up to 14 years of age, the questions are divided according to the age of the child – up to 5 years and from 5 to 14 years.
